More tools

Scan QR codes on a computer too

Hold the code up to your laptop webcam, or take a screenshot of a code on your screen and paste it with Ctrl+V. You can read codes in emails and PDFs without picking up your phone.

Scan safely

You cannot tell where a QR code leads just by looking at it. This scanner shows you the address first instead of opening it straight away. For unexpected codes, such as parking or parcel notices, make sure the address belongs to the official site before you open it.

Privacy

Camera frames and images are analyzed inside your browser and never uploaded. Your scan history is stored only on this device, and you can clear it at any time.

FAQ

Do I need to install an app?
No. It works directly in Chrome, Safari, Edge and other modern browsers.
The camera does not start.
Check the camera permission in the address bar and close other apps that use the camera. You can always scan an image file instead.
Can it read blurry photos?
Cropping the image so the code is large helps a lot. Very small or blurry codes may not decode.
