Contact (vCard) QR code generator

Put a QR code on your business card and people can save your details in one scan instead of typing them in.

Other QR code types

What is a vCard?

vCard is the contact format shared by phones and email apps. The code holds a vCard 3.0 text that starts with BEGIN:VCARD, and both iPhone and Android cameras show an "Add to contacts" prompt when they scan it.

Printing it on a business card

  • Every extra field makes the code denser. For a small print like a business card, stick to name, mobile, email and company.
  • Print it at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide. Download the SVG to place it in your design file at full sharpness.
  • Fill in first and last name separately so contact apps sort the name correctly.

FAQ

Does scanning save the contact automatically?
The camera shows a contact preview and saves it when the person taps Save. Nothing is saved without their consent.
Can I include a photo?
A photo is far too large to fit in one QR code. You can, however, place your face or company logo in the middle of the code with the logo option.
What is the difference between vCard and MeCard?
MeCard is a shorter format from Japan that gives a slightly smaller code but supports fewer fields. QRink uses vCard 3.0 for the widest compatibility.
